VBS and the FCC “SUMMER FOOD PROJECT” combined to deliver 450 boxes of saltine crackers, 450 packages of instant potatoes, 450 boxes of raisins and 225 jars of peanut butter to the local food pantry. In addition, the VBS Offering of $1,019.43 will go to the Compassionate Food Ministries to help them purchase additional items.

YOUTH PASTOR SEARCH:  We have been in the process of looking for a Youth Minister to serve here at First Christian Church. The initial process of gathering applicants, reading resumes, and following up with interviews has finished. We have called in a few candidates to experience a worship service, meet our people, and have a face-to-face interview and are currently in that process. Please continue to pray with us that God will lead us to the right person and the right person to us.

GOLDEN AGE:  We will be having the Golden Age Luncheon this month on Tuesday, August 22, at 12:00 NN. A catered lunch is provided for a donation to all who sign up. The program will be by the members, sharing what they did over their summer vacation.

UPDATE ON “CHRISTMAS IN JULY”: We have been collecting items for the Emergency Buckets delivered by Church World Service since mid July. We plan to finish and count the items by the end of August, and then have them delivered. Thanks to all who participated!
