“The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.” ~ Proverbs 15:29

How many times have you heard someone say, “It doesn’t do any good to pray, God doesn’t listen”? I think we are mature enough to know God isn’t going to answer a prayer that isn’t in His will.

When I first became wheelchair bound, I’m afraid my prayers about the situation weren’t very inspired. As time went on and my chair became necessary, I cried out in despair, “Don’t You care about me?” A still, small voice answered, “You are praying for the wrong thing.”

I changed my prayer attitude and began to pray for God to help me through the day. He answered that prayer and I know He won’t give me anything we can’t handle together.

 

“Thank You, God, for helping me through each day. Amen.”
