Today we welcome Rev. Jamie Kent, Susan his wife and children Gwen, Ethan, Nicole, Braden, Brenna and Jamilee to First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for many years of service and work together for the kingdom of God.

Rev. Kent writes the following message:

“Hello and welcome to the web presence of First Christian Church in Paris, IL. We are so happy that you have chosen to check us out and we pray that we can be of service to you today or sometime in the future. We are imperfect people serving the perfect God who loves every one of us on His earth unconditionally. We love, support and encourage each other on this journey of faith we all walk. We pray through your visit with us today you will be blessed, you will know we want to get to know you and that we are here when you need us. We are trying to connect everyone with Jesus and to each other.

“I’m honored to serve as the Senior Minister here at First Christian Church in Paris. I grew up in a small Christian Church in upper East Tennessee and have always loved Christ and His Church. I have served in ministry 25 years in the Christian Churches/Disciples of Christ and United Churches of Christ and Christian Churches throughout Tennessee, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana. I’ve served as interim, youth minister, and minister. I had the honor of attending Johnson University in Knoxville, Tennessee and graduated with an Associates degree in Youth/Bible and a Bachelors degree in Leadership/Ministry.

“May God lead and guide us as we seek to follow His will and bring others into a relationship with Jesus.”
