Youth Group is back – each Wednesday starting at 6:30-8:00 PM in the FCC Youth Room – for 6th-12th grades! Bring your friends! If someone asks you why they should come to Youth Group, tell them, “Our youth ministry exists to worship the Lord. To accomplish this, we reach out to non-believing students, invest in one another, serve those around us, and train each other by God’s Word.” This is our purpose statement and there are 5 main parts listed in it. Remember it with the acronym: WRIST – Worship, Reach, Invest, Serve, Train. It’s based on Deuteronomy 6:4-9 which says, “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.” These ideas stem from the Great Commandment and the Great Commission, so they are biblical, principle, and foundational to everything we will do. Come join us and learn to be “Disciples On Fire.”
