Worship In Sanctuary Opens June 6-7

The time is approaching for FCC to resume worship in our sanctuary, for those who are comfortable doing so.

Our first priority is the health and safety of our church family. To accomplish this goal will require some compromise and cooperation.

The state is limiting gatherings to fifty people or less. Accordingly, starting June 6th, we will offer a 5 p.m. Saturday service in addition to our usual 8 and 10 o’clock Sunday services.

We will still share communion together during worship; however, communion will be pre-packaged and will be handed out as you enter the sanctuary.

Offering will still be part of our worship together; however, offering envelopes may be left in baskets as you leave the sanctuary following worship. Sharing communion and offering in these ways prevents the passing of plates and trays.

Seating will be every other pew, with six feet of space between households.

Masks are not mandatory, but are strongly suggested. Please bring and wear your own mask unless you are unable to do so. If you do not have access to a mask, please contact the office.

Please feel free to visit with others following worship, but please do so outside so that the sanctuary has time to be thoroughly disinfected.

The Saturday service will require help with sound and projection. Please consider volunteering – we will be glad to help you learn!

Finally, we are requesting that EVERYONE please call the office at your earliest convenience and let us know WHICH SERVICE you would prefer to attend throughout this time. The survey indicated a heavy preference for the 10 a.m. Sunday service. We are asking you to pray and consider attending the 8 a.m. Sunday or 5 p.m. Saturday services each week to help us distribute our attendance. The state will not allow us to have more than fifty people at any one service. Thank you in advance for your careful consideration and understanding.

We hope you will join us; however, we acknowledge that our current environment is not without risks. The 10 o’clock Sunday service will continue to be livestreamed. If you have conditions or health concerns which make gatherings a risk for you, please continue to join us via livestream.

Once again, if you intend to attend worship (and we hope you will), please phone the office at 466-3255 and let us know which service you plan to attend.

Thank you and God bless.
