Firstly, I will address the elephant in the room: we lost our minister this week. I know many of you are hurt and confused. I am not able to give you the perfect answer, but I am here to talk. If there are any youth or family of youth that would like to talk about what happened and why it happened, feel free to text or call me at 618-838-5646.
Youth Sunday 2021 has come and gone, and if you ask me, it went fantastically! We had a great crowd, and every single youth did a wonderful job with their assignment. We do, however, apologize for the technical malfunctions that caused the livestream not work. We have unanimously agreed to blame Jack Frost for bringing the terrible weather.
Directly after Youth Sunday, we had our first Toilet Bowl Party! The original purpose was an anti-Superbowl party for those that don’t like to watch football; but since it was the week after the Superbowl, it was largely a celebration of all thing’s toilet. I know, it sounds odd, but we had a blast nonetheless!
Youth Group / Crossroads / God’s Gang
Youth Group is every Sunday from 6-8 in the church basement. We are currently going through each book of the Bible and learning all about them.
God’s Gang and Crossroads will begin bus pickup on March 3rd and the time will change to 3:30-5:30 pm. Our theme this semester is Travel; we will learn about different and exciting places across the Earth and how our God makes such beautiful places. We may have already started but you can still sign up your little person either in person at the church or at drop-off on Wednesday afternoon. Crossroads and God’s Gang registration forms are also available online.
Upcoming Events
Coming up in March is our annual multi-media event, formerly known as the MTV Awards, now known as, “The Grannies”! This is when everyone, in a group or alone, will make a short video ahead of time that’s about anything appropriate. We will watch them all together, laugh at one another, and assign awards to the best actress, worst actor, cheesiest line, etc. To everyone participating, start working on your videos now!
