Jim Mathis – Assistant Financial Secretary

Jim Mathis has been the Assistant Financial Secretary at the First Christian Church since 2012.

He is married to Cindy and they have two children, Megan and Malloree and one grandchild, Taylor. His sisters, Peggy Barath and Coralie Smittkamp are very active members at FCC. He has a brother Bob who lives TN.

Jim loves watching sports and favorite shows on TV, listening to music, being involved in community and church events, politics, Kiwanis and singing in the choir.

Jim has been involved with some aspect of FCC since his childhood. He feels FCC is like an extended family and really enjoys working with the Financial Secretary and the responsibility that is a part of the position.

Jim is retired from the Illinois Department of Transportation. He is currently serving as Paris Township Clerk, Precinct Committeeman Paris 10, Secretary of the Kiwanis Club of Paris as well as Advisor to the Paris Kiwanis Aktion Club. He is also Treasurer of the Edgar County Republican Central Committee, Paris and is a International Thanksgiving Fellowship Board member.
