As my friends and I stood at a concert, listening to Micah Tyler sing, “There’s never been a moment I was not held inside Your arms. And there’s never been a day when You were not Who You say You are. Yours forever. It don’t matter what I’m walking through, ’cause no matter where I’m going, there’s never been a moment that I was not loved by You”… among the then small group of dearly loved friends I was with, was one very sad and hurting friend.
I had been praying for him for a while, but in the midst of the noise and lights, a small voice said, “Pray.” I closed my eyes and prayed through the music that God would heal his aching heart. “Help him remember that You love him and You are there for him,” I prayed. At different moments in the concert, I was led to pray. By the end of the concert, the person was smiling and singing. It was as if he opened up and let God in.
I am happy to say that I have seen much improvement in this person since the concert. It was amazing to pray a prayer and then open my eyes and witness the answer in such a wonderful way. Now I look at my friend and I don’t see that same hurt, sad person. I see Christ shining through him.
In the pandemonium of our troubled lives, the reality is that we are always wrapped in Christ’s arms and there is not a moment that we are not loved by Him is the ultimate peace!
“The Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.” ~ Numbers 6:26
