“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” ~ Isaiah 40:31
I have never called myself a writer, so this is a “change” for me. Change is something we tend to fear and become anxious about because we do not feel in control, especially when the change is not our idea. However, many times, change can also be a time of growth, causing us to move forward in a relationship, a job, or life in general.
Life is a parade of changes. We change friends, we change cars, we change careers, our financial situation changes, and the list goes on. Many changes are easy, but some are very difficult.
Perhaps the most difficult change is a change in attitude toward a situation or a person. Oft times we can’t make this change by ourselves and move forward. But, as Christians, we can lean on a “never” changing God to propel us forward. As Isaiah says, God will renew our strength and we can soar like eagles when our trust is in Him. We all need strength and courage to accept change at times. God is willing to be that Source!
Dear Heavenly Father, Help us to accept change and move forward, reveling in the knowledge that You love us so much You sacrificed Your only Son. Help us to be examples of Your love to others, not only at Christmas, but all year. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
TODAY: Pray for a youth who has an outside job by name.
