“When I heard your greeting, the baby in my womb jumped for joy.” ~ Luke 1:44

As women, who have had the opportunity to experience the miracle of giving birth to a child, we can truly feel the baby within our womb as they begin to move around inside us, filling us with incredible joy! I remember when my husband got to feel the baby kick for the first time. His eyes shone with joy as the smile filled his face.

Mary, mother of our Lord Jesus Christ, was obedient to God. She not only was Stepping Out, but she was Stepping Up and Stepping Forward in the responsibility placed before her with the help of God.

How do we react when asked to do a new and different responsibility? Do we trust our God to lead and help us? As we travel together in this Advent season, let us do so with a renewed spirit, sharing the joy in our lives given to us by knowing our Lord Jesus Christ.

I give JOY and thanks to God for you all at the First Christian Church.
